The Young and the Restless: Joshua Morrow Shares Insights on Y&R Milestone

The Young and the Restless star reflected on his role in the new issue of TV Guide. He said, “Just the fact that they would be willing to do something like that made me feel very proud.” It made Joshua realize what an incredible journey this has been. He added, “I feel like I’m not worth it like I’m going to wake up, and this has all been a dream.”

The character of Nicholas Newman was born on The Young and the Restless in December 1988. However, it wasn’t until 1994 that the character reappeared as a teenager, fresh from boarding school. It was the time Morrow took over the reins. As a young actor, he was completely aware of how grateful he was to work with TV legends. These include Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott, who played his on-screen parents.

Joshua said, “It’s almost unfair. They’re literally icons. They’re like family to me and I love and respect them so much. The actor admitted to landing in the best situation any young actor could hope for. Additionally, Morrow earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1996, just two years into his role. He was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actor and kept getting nominated every year until 2000. Despite the accolades, Morrow remains humble about his career.

It’s an incredible accomplishment and one I never take for granted.”
