The Young And The Restless renewed for four more years by CBS…..

It has been the top-rated daytime drama for the last three decades.

And on Thursday CBS ensured The Young And The Restless will live on, by renewing the soap for four more years, through the 2027-28 broadcast season.

‘Having the #1 show for any length of time is a tremendous accomplishment,’ said Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment.

‘But The Young And The Restless has been daytime’s top drama for over three decades. The last time any other show was on top, Ronald Reagan was president and the Berlin Wall was still standing.’

Stay Yen! The Young And The Restless has been renewed by CBS for another four years; Several current cast members are expected to receive the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in February 2024

Kahl added: “It is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the outstanding cast, talented writers, talented producers and passionate fans, as well as the great partnership our big deal with Sony Pictures Television.”

Steve Kent, senior executive vice president of programming at Sony Pictures Television, is equally enthusiastic about the renewal.

“We are excited to continue the legacy of The Young And The Restless at CBS,” he said as reported by People

The iconic characters created by William J. Bell and Lee Philip Bell 47 years ago continue to captivate audiences in the U.S. and across the globe, and we look forward to building on the dynamic storylines featuring these beloved characters.’

Longtime reign!  The Young And The Restless has been the top rated daytime drama for 31-plus years and counting; Star Melody Thomas Scott just celebrated 40 years on the show, while co-star Eric Braeden will his 40 year anniversary in February
