Young and the Restless

Young and Restless Spoilers July 8: Victor Teaches Claire How To Think

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, July 8, are a history lesson Victor gives Claire to explain why the Newmans are always wrong and everyone else is always wrong.

The World According to Vic

Poor, poor Claire (Hayley Erin). She spent her entire life under the thumb of a self-centered, self-deluded madwoman who only allowed her to know what Jordan (Colleen Zenk — who supported her co-star) wanted her to know and gave her a warped sense of reality so that Claire would do whatever Jordan told her to.

Fortunately, that period of her life is over. She is safe and sound and protected by the one and only Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Now Victor is here to undo all the damage Jordan did. He will explain how things really work to her. Isn’t she so lucky to finally be free of a maniac like Jordan and hear Victor’s view on…everything?

Be Our Guest

Traci (Beth Maitland) is still in Paris. We presume she’s telling herself it’s so she can be close by in case Ashley (Eileen Davidson) needs any help. We can hope it’s so she and Alan (Christopher Cousins) can spend some quality time together. (And he doesn’t turn out to be his psycho twin brother, Martin.)

But while she’s there, Traci gets a surprise visit from pals Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell). Sure. Why not? The three of them don’t have a story. They might as well not have a story together.

Let’s All Row Together Like the Princeton Crew

Summer (Allison Lanier) went to her parents for help. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are ready, willing, and able to be there for their little girl. The only problem is that they disagree on how to proceed.

Phyllis wants to hatch a crazy scheme that might lead to some people dying and some in prison. Nick would like to try something a little more…sane. Guess who’s going to win?
