The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, February 13, demonstrate how one character can take over an episode…without even being in it.
Next on The Young and the Restless
Ever since Amy (Valarie Pettiford) popped up back in Genoa City and needed Nate (Sean Dominic) to track down his long-lost, heretofore unknown brother for her, it’s been Damian (Jermaine Rivers) all the time. He may not want to know them, but they sure do think they know a lot about him.
Devon (Bryton James) and Lily (Christel Khalil) pop out of the woodwork to lecture Nate on what he should and should not do and how he should or should not feel about the brother he’s just found out about. They warn Nate to be careful. The guy could be anyone who is after anything. What they mean is to keep him away from our family company. We earned our money the old-fashioned way: We inherited it. And we’re not in the mood for sharing.
Two of a Kind
Meanwhile, here’s our faux Damian, aka Holden (Nathan Owens). He would seem to be superfluous at this point, just wandering around town, carrying messages from Nate and Amy to Damian and vice versa. We expected him to be gone by now. But it looks like he’s here to stay for a while, especially once he catches sight of a familiar face. Our money is on either Devon or Lily, the same people who are so eager to warn Nate off Damian.
Who I am is Who I Want to Be
And then there’s Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She announces that moving forward, she is all about boundaries. There will be no inappropriate behavior here from now on! This should be interesting. We are either about to see a whole new Phyllis or the same old Phyllis, only even more self-deluded.
