Weekly The Young and the Restless Spoilers July 15 – 19: New Game Plans, Ground Rules and Power Struggles

Find out what’s in store for your Genoa City favorites.

On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of July 15 – July 19 focus on differences of opinions, traveling outside comfort zones, and fighting forbidden attractions.

The Man of the Hour

Next week, count on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow — whose son is slated to appear on Bold and the Beautiful) being a busy guy. And we’re not talking about dealing with his workload or the drama at Newman. On his mind and in his various chats, he’s all about the women in his life.

First, Nick and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) discuss their concerns about Sharon (Sharon Case). Something is going on with her, and they want to figure out what’s up. Next, Nick and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) share a difference of opinion about Summer’s (Allison Lanier) actions. She’s currently looking to buy a house and threatening to call the lawyers about custody of Harrison (Redding Munsell). Finally, and unsurprisingly, Nick finds himself caught between Phyllis and Sharon. Yikes.

Claire’s Summer Woes and Wows

Claire’s (Hayley Erin) summer is about to get bumpier thanks to, well, Summer. Harrison’s nanny suddenly finds herself in a power struggle with Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) ex-wife. This has been brewing for a long time. Summer has been envious of Harrison’s hero worship of Claire. So, what does this power struggle look like?

On the positive side, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) encourages Claire to travel outside her comfort zone. At this point, with the way she grew up, everything is outside of her comfort zone, isn’t it? What does Victoria inspire Claire to do? (Soap Hub has questions for Y&R here)

Odds and Ends

Since Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra’s “friendship” has moved to “friends with benefits,” Nate feels he needs to establish boundaries with the new co-CEO of Glissade. As a result, he sets ground rules with Audra (Zuleyka Silver).

There can’t be a week of Y&R without Victor (Eric Braeden — who recently defended Alec Baldwin) scheming and playing chess with his family’s lives. He’s already tried to move them around the chessboard in a way that benefits his plan to bring Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) down. Apparently, he’s reconfigured his scheme because he reveals a new game plan to his family.

Finally, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) fight their attraction. So what they did that night in the hotel room wasn’t a one-off? The two are really bad at keeping their cool in front of Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope — read about her inspiring triumph here). If they’re fighting their attraction, how much longer before a) they give into said attraction once more, and 2) they slip up in front of their respective significant others? And can we mention how Chelsea and Sally are now working together at Marchetti????? There’s no way that will end well.
