Weekly The Young and the Restless Spoilers July 1 – 5: Fireworks, Sparks, and Explosions

Find out what’s in store for your Genoa City favorites.

On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of July 1 – July 5 focus on family feuds, romantic sparks, and forbidden reunions.

V is for Victor…and Vendetta

One teaser suggests Victor (Eric Braeden) plays his cards close to the vest. He’s obviously doing this with his family and his foes. So far, his one-sided feud with Jack (Peter Bergman) colors every decision he’s making structurally at Newman. And it’s certainly what’s behind his buying Glissade and poaching Kyle to run it with Audra (Zuleyka Silver).

Something tells us that Victor, being Glissade’s benefactor, won’t stay quiet for much longer. Our first clue? In the middle of next week, Jack confronts Kyle (Michael Mealor) about working with Victor. Our second clue? Victor and Jack reignite their feud! How will Jack strike back against Victor? More importantly, what deal does Victor strike with Kyle, and how much will it inflame Jack further?

Accountability Sucks

Jack’s wife isn’t faring any better. Diane (Susan Walters) handed Kyle his walking papers from Jabot. And she had no idea that two seconds later, he’d have a primo job with another cosmetics company. Kyle has a chip on his shoulder, and he also has something to prove. So Diane better be up for a fight.

First, look for Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to confide in Diane. Does he happen to give her ammunition against Victor? It could happen. Second, Diane is held accountable for her actions. Is this her firing Kyle actions? Or her faking her death for 20 years actions? Anything is possible at this point.

Odds and Ends

In softer, happier news, Traci (Beth Maitland) and Alan (Christopher Cousins) continue to connect in Paris. In fact, they share a warm moment, which we’re happy about.

Meanwhile, sparks fly between Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra. These two have been sparking quite a bit lately, but nothing has happened in a while. Is that about to change? It must be the moves they are making at their respective companies. Power can be intoxicating.

Finally, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) reminisce about their past. But that’s not the big news here, is it? We’ve seen the video preview for next week in Genoa City. Chelsea and Adam are about to give in to their shared pain and passion. Ruh roh. What’s that going to mean for Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope)?
