Young and the Restless

Here’s What Harrison’s Kidnapping Means For Kyle and Summer On Y&R

On the April 15 episode of The Young and the Restless, Harrison’s missing lucky charm led to Claire showing up at the Abbott mansion to return it, and Kyle asked her to stay. Later, Harrison and Claire went missing, and Kyle blamed it on Claire, but he was wrong.

Danger for Claire And Harrison

Is it any wonder that Kyle (Michael Mealor) jumped to the conclusion that Claire (Hayley Erin) kidnapped Harrison (Redding Munsell, who recently took over the role)? After all, Summer (Allison Lanier) has been vehemently against her newfound cousin being anywhere near the little boy.

Of course, we know that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is the one who used chloroform on Claire and presumably took both her and Harrison. Summer absolutely won’t see it that way, though, especially since Kyle also presumes that Claire took Harrison.

In this week’s preview video, we saw Summer alerting Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that Claire was gone along with Harrison. While the little boy’s parents believe the worst of Claire, we suspect Victoria will assume that Jordan took both her daughter and her great-nephew.

We expect to see plenty of “I told you so” from Summer where Kyle is concerned. Mealor told Soap Opera Digest, “I think as a parent, your worst fears come to life in this situation. That is pretty much your worst fear. I mean, sheer panic, bewilderment, and fear. He’s wrestling with the accusations from Summer. He’s wrestling with himself. He doesn’t want to blame himself, but he knows he’s responsible, and he may have trusted the wrong person. And so, I think he’s really grappling with all those emotions.”

That doesn’t sound like it’s setting the stage for any sort of romantic reunion. Summer also seems pretty set on Chance (Conner Floyd) for now, too. Although Summer and Kyle’s worry for Harrison could pull them back together, we think it’ll ensure that a reunion isn’t anywhere in the cards for these two. Sorry Skyle fans.
