The Young and the Restless: Lucy In Danger – Sharon Goes Off the Rails, Puts Daniel’s Daughter at Risk?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is gearing up for a storyline that could lead to trouble. Y&R fans have already been seeing some warning signs when it comes to Sharon’s behavior – like that outburst that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) witnessed when she was on the phone.

Sharon has been behaving a bit out of character at times, but she chalked it up to a change in her bipolar medication.

That’s causing sleep issues and making it tougher for Sharon to get a grip on her emotions.

Despite Sharon’s attempt to downplay things, it seems like Y&R’s setting up a scary situation.

Sharon has been reflecting on the tragic loss of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) a lot lately, so it’s been tough for her to keep revisiting the worst time of her life.

In the June 25 episode, Sharon had a disturbing moment where it seemed like her trauma was triggered by seeing Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) at Society.

After chatting with Daniel briefly, Sharon flashed back to unleashing her anger and threatening him shortly after Cassie’s accident.

It left Sharon looking unsettled as she remembered that scene at the hospital all those years ago.

Of course, Daniel didn’t turn out to be the one behind the wheel that night. Cassie herself crashed the car while attempting to drive drunk Daniel home, but Daniel is still deeply intertwined with some difficult memories for Sharon.

It’s possible Sharon’s upcoming story will lead to Daniel getting hurt, but there’s a far more emotional option on the table.

What if Sharon’s actions lead to Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) getting seriously injured instead?

Part of Sharon may still blame Daniel for Cassie’s grim fate, so it’d be an interesting twist if she went off the rails and put Lucy in grave danger.

That could leave Sharon facing some terrible guilt once she’s rational again and realizes what she’s done.

Now that Lucy seemingly wants to be friends with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), it feels like a writing choice that’s meant to inch her into Sharon’s orbit.

Could all this add up to Sharon causing danger for Lucy while her new meds have her out of sorts?

Is Sharon suffering a negative reaction that’s only going to get worse?
