Hope’s life has been left in tatters in the aftermath of her turning down Thomas’s marriage proposal for the second time, and if Steffy is even a teensy bit right about her stepsister becoming more and more like her mother, well… we wouldn’t want to be in her Bold & Beautiful shoes right now! As it turns out, the entire argument was echoing the battles of the past, and Steffy was much closer to the mark in her comment about Hope than she perhaps even realized!

Back in the day, Brooke had it out with Stephanie, who had successfully sabotaged her relationship with Ridge and put the matriarchal meddler on notice, seething: “I promise you, Stephanie, you’re going to pay for this. Some day, some how, I am going to make you pay!”

As Bold & Beautiful viewers are well aware, Hope’s clash with Steffy ended on an eerily similar note. Channeling ‘Classic’ Brooke several decades later, Hope warned Steffy: “Mark my words… you are going to regret this. I don’t know how, and I don’t know when, but you’re going to regret it!”

 

 

Back in the day, Brooke followed up her threat to Stephanie, whether intentionally or not, by seducing her man, Eric, and getting pregnant with his child. So, if Hope is indeed taking a page from her mother’s old handbook, this could end up really, really bad for Steffy.

Like her grandmother before her, Steffy may very well end up facing the karmic consequences of sabotaging a relationship… especially if the ‘payback’ looks the same and Hope hooks up with Finn.
