The Bold and the Beautiful family is mourning the loss of a cherished member. Jack Kid Jr., who served as the head grip in the camera and electrical department, has tragically passed away at the age of 60. Jack’s sudden disappearance and subsequent death have left the cast and crew in shock, with an outpouring of grief and support from his loved ones and colleagues.

Jack was reported missing on Thursday, and his absence was first noted when Don Diamont, known for his role as Bill Spencer on the show, shared a missing person flyer on his Instagram story. Diamont expressed disbelief, writing, “This is not like Jack at all.” His concern was echoed by many others, including Reena Sofer, who played Quinn on The Bold and the Beautiful and now stars as Lois on General Hospital. She also shared the flyer on her social media accounts, urging anyone with information to contact the police and keep Jack in their thoughts.

Jack was last seen on July 25th at 4:30 a.m., leaving his home in Canyon Country, driving a white 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. Despite extensive efforts to locate him, including support from local radio stations and social media posts, Jack’s body was eventually found after he was involved in a fatal accident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Jack’s dedication to his work and helpful nature made him a beloved figure on set. His family and colleagues remember him as someone who always arrived early to ensure everything was ready for production and was always willing to lend a hand. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.

On a brighter note, The Young and the Restless alum Chris McKenna has just become a father, welcoming his first baby. Chris, known for his role as Detective Mark Harding on Y&R, announced the birth of his son, Spencer J. McKenna, on July 26th. Chris and his wife, Lisa McKenna, shared their joy with a heartfelt Instagram post featuring photos and videos of their newborn son. Friends and co-stars, including Greg Rikaart, congratulated the couple on their new addition.

Chris McKenna has always been known for surprising his fans. He secretly married Lisa in 2020 and announced their pregnancy earlier this year with a cute video revealing they were expecting a boy. Now, with the arrival of Spencer, the McKenna family is beginning their new journey together.

In other soap opera news, General Hospital star William deVry recently revealed that he almost landed a role on The Young and the Restless. In an interview with Soaps.com, deVry shared that he had tested for the role of Tucker McCall two years ago, a role that ultimately went to Trevor St. John. Despite not getting the part, deVry expressed admiration for St. John, acknowledging his talent and their long-standing connection from their time on All My Children.

While deVry may not have joined Y&R, his positive attitude and respect for his peers demonstrate his professionalism and passion for the industry. Fans of both deVry and St. John continue to appreciate their contributions to the world of soap operas.
