In the park, Devon and Abby spread out a picnic blanket and sit down with Dom to go through his candy. The couple sits on the bench and Abby asks if Devon is thinking about Lily. Devon says it’s hard not to. Abby sighs that her dad can be so generous and loving, but on the other hand, he’s screwing over his sister. She’s sorry. Devon says it’s a classic Victor move he never expected him to make on his family. Abby thinks she will talk to him about making this right before their wedding. Devon promises nothing will ruin their big day.
At Society, Lily tells Jill that Billy has done nothing since she told him to fix the mess he made. She has no idea if Phyllis is still there, but he’s only reached out to her to gloat. Jill fumes. She’s going to call him as soon as they’re done. Lily needs to be back at the helm with Billy… now. Lily informs Jill she has zero interest in ever working alongside of her son again.
Jill doesn’t want to hear that things are past the point of no return with Lily and Billy. She knows she wasn’t just an innocent victim and was working her own agenda. They debate about whether Billy can make the company a success. Jill acknowledges Billy has made some mistakes, like losing the Odyssey 7 deal. Lily asks her to fire Billy and reinstate her as CEO. She’ll get the deal done. Jill tells Lily she’s not the enemy. She is brilliant at what she does, and she is furious with her son, but she has to give him a chance. Lily asks, “What if he sinks the whole ship?” Jill will be in town for Devon and Abby’s wedding and will make a decision then. Lily warns she needs to move quickly before Victor takes Billy and Chancellor down.
Billy walks into Crimson Lights and grimaces when he spots Adam and Chelsea chatting with Connor on the patio.
Sally appears and Billy quips, “Trick or treat.”
After getting drinks, they talk about the “picture perfect” family. Sally wonders if Chelsea and Adam got together because of Connor, or if it was the infamous “one night” that made it happen. Billy asks what she means. Sally wonders if that night created a new bond. Billy thinks it’s a chicken or egg question. Sally wonders if they took a hit for a good reason. Billy shrugs; if that helps them get through it. Connor makes his way inside, followed by his parents, and they all look at each other. Sally and Billy tell Connor that his doctor costume looks good. Billy’s heard he’s going to a big party with Johnny. Connor admits he’s a little nervous. Billy learns Adam is driving them. He says, “Thanks for that.” Connor suggests Adam and Chelsea dress up in a couple costume and come with him. Sally teases about him wanting to hang out with his parents. He says his parents are fun and they also talk about everything. It makes him feel better.
In her living room, Sharon scrubs a stain. Hallucination Nick tells her she can rub all she wants, but it won’t solve her problem. She’s just trying to push down her guilt. Sharon protests that it wasn’t supposed to be like this. Cameron told her she would have the life she wanted. Nick says, “A life with me.” Sharon knows he wants her to come clean, but she would lose everything. How could she live with that?
Hallucination Nick asks Sharon if it would be better for Daniel to go to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Sharon blurts, “Cameron said I have to be strong.” Nick thinks doing the right thing takes even more strength. Sharon asks, “You can’t forgive me for what I’ve done, can you?” Nick points out he’s her, just like Cameron. Can she forgive herself? He knows how strong she is and the goodness inside of her. Sharon says maybe this is who she is now; who she’s become. Nick says if that were the case, he wouldn’t be there. She can do the right thing… for Lucy. Sharon asks, “What about my children?” She hates what she’s done, but what happened with Heather was an accident. Just a horrible, horrible accident. Suddenly, Dead Heather appears and screeches, “Was it?!”
Tessa, Mariah, and Aria join Dom and his parents in the park. They chat about Sally designing Abby’s gown and Mariah asks about the venue. Abby says it’s all being taken care of and she’s not doing anything. “My dad is throwing us our dream wedding.” Tessa and Mariah are shocked to hear they don’t even know where it’s going to be. Tessa’s surprised she would relinquish control over such an important day. Abby admits she is too, but it will be great… as long as her father doesn’t let non-wedding issues intrude.
Mariah guesses that Victor’s in the middle of a masters of the universe chess game. She hopes it doesn’t spill over into their wedding day. Abby says he’s excited about planning it. Tessa’s sure it will be legendary. Abby reports that her mom is coming home and she and her dad will walk her down the aisle. Jack’s in Paris getting her discharged. Lily appears and kneels down to talk to the kiddies. Abby asks how she’s doing. She says she’s good, but she wants to talk to Devon in private. They walk off.
At Crimson Lights, Connor shows Sally and Billy his stethoscope, given to him by one of this doctor’s. Billy tells the kid it’s “cool”.
Taking Chelsea to a chair, the boy listens to his mom’s heartbeat and says it’s racing. Chelsea thinks it’s the excitement of the holiday.
Johnny walks in dressed as a punk rocker, followed by Victoria. He and Connor chat and head to the patio. Billy asks Victoria if Katie is still getting ready. Victoria says only their daughter would go dressed as a zombie Swiftie. Sally announces she’s going to get going. Billy walks her to the door. Sally says she could use a change of scenery. He asks if she’s available for a drink later.
In the park, away from the others, Lily updates Devon on her call with Jill, who wants her back as Billy’s co-CEO. She says it’s infuriating. They’re all jerking her around and want her to take a backseat. “Why is so hard to get back what’s mine?!” Devon says it’s not hers. The company with her name on it is Winters. He thinks Jill should be concerned about Victor. The war is going to get ugly and the last thing he wants is Lily in the middle of it. That’s why she should come back to Winters. Lily fumes that he sounds just like Victor and is pressing all of her buttons. Devon doesn’t appreciate being compared to Victor. Lily doesn’t appreciate being treated like a mindless pawn. Devon doesn’t think Victor intended to show her disrespect. Lily asks, “Are you kidding me?” She complains that they’re all fighting over a company she poured her heart and soul into. She’s not walking away.
In the other part of the park, Abby, Tessa, and Mariah discuss Daniel getting arrested for killing Heather. They all agree it doesn’t make sense. Mariah says they saw him the night she died and he seemed completely normal. Abby finds out that Sharon had been taking out her anger on Daniel and his family. Mariah tells Abby that she can relate to having a mom who struggles with mental health issues. But she’s back on track and hopefully out of the woods like Ashley.
In her living room, Sharon tells Dead Heather she’s so sorry. Heather points out she’s still dead, and that all the remorse in the world will not save Daniel from her lies. Sharon tells her if she’d just let her leave the apartment, none of this would be happening. Heather asks, “So this is my fault?” Sharon says, “No, no, no. It’s all mine.” She’d give anything if it never happened. Heather says, “But it did. You killed me and framed Daniel.”
Heather tells her that only she can make this right. Sharon tells her to go away. Heather snaps, “You’re a coward!” She’s worried about her children, “What about my daughter?” How can she sacrifice her daughter’s stability. What kind of mother, what kind of person, is she? Sharon tells her to get out of her head. “I can’t keep seeing ghosts!” Hallucination Nick appears and says he’s not a ghost. “I’m your lifeline. I’m proof that Cameron is gone.” Heather says, “But evil is alive and well.” Sharon shouts, “Get out!” Heather seethes that she will never escape her. Every day and every hour of her life she will remind her what she did to her and her family. Sharon screams, “No!” and throws something. Gathering her purse, she leaves the house.
At Crimson Lights, Sally accepts Billy’s invitation for a drink later and leaves. Billy rejoins the others, who are talking about Connor coming into his own. Chelsea excuses herself to go upstairs. Billy tells Adam he’s as scary as ever. Adam tells him it’s not funny and is sorry he’s intimidated by him. The start arguing about Adam’s hit piece on him as Victoria looks back and forth between them. They keep sparring verbally and Victoria tells them to please stop. Connor and Johnny appear, and Adam says, “Let’s get this show on the road.” Victoria teases that she’ll take any chocolate they don’t like. Billy will pick Johnny up when he’s done. Once alone, Victoria asks Billy what’s going on with him and Adam. Chelsea and Sally were acting weird too. “Did Adam and Sally break up too?” Billy says yes, they did. He doesn’t want to talk about it though. “When Adam and Chelsea were in Baltimore they slept together.” Victoria’s sorry. She knows how much he loves her. Chelsea returns and listens as she says, “To betray you like that, with Adam of all people,” and Billy replies, “Maybe it had to be Adam.”
Still in the park, Tessa and Mariah watch Abby with the kids and chat and kiss. Mariah’s surprised Sharon didn’t come. She gets the phone and tries to call her.
In her car, Sharon drives with a tear running down her cheek. She flashes to finding Heather dead on the floor and dumping her body in the river. She then recalls planting the evidence to frame Daniel in his apartment. She cries, “This can’t be happening.” Cameron said she would be safe. In the backseat, Dead Heather appears and tells her she’ll never be safe again.
In the park, Lily tells Devon she’s been cheated out of the company and she will get it back. Devon says she has his support. He wants her to promise not to let her anger at Victor and Nikki blow up his wedding. Lily can’t promise that and snaps that maybe she should just skip it. Devon fumes, “You would actually skip my wedding?” Lily says maybe Nikki and Victor shouldn’t come. Devon raises his eyebrow, “He’s the father of the bride.” Lily guesses the decision is made then. Devon tells her he would break her heart if she didn’t show up. Lily loves him, but she can’t make any promises right now.
At the Club bar, Adam walks up to Sally, who asks if he got the boys dropped off. He did, and apologizes for earlier, it was awkward. She says they’ll have to get used to it. Sally urges him not to apologize again. She told Billy that maybe this was for the best. When she saw him with Chelsea and Connor as a family, she could see they belong together. Adam says Chelsea would strongly disagree with that. Sally thinks that’s just her guilt. She’s fighting the inevitable and on some level knows they’re meant to be. “I wish you and Chelsea the best… and your family.” With that, she takes her drink and walks away.
In Crimson Lights, Billy tells Victoria that Sally has a theory that they took a hit for the greater good. Connor needs his family more than ever right now. Chelsea and Adam are feeling it whether or not she admits it. Chelsea is still listening as he says maybe she and Adam were meant to be.
Devon rejoins Abby in the park. She can see things didn’t go well with Lily. Devon wishes he could help her, but he’s not sure that’s possible.
Nearby, Sharon joins Mariah, Tessa, and Aria and coos over the little girl. Mariah asks if she’s OK. Sharon says it’s nothing a hug from her fairy princess won’t cure.
As she squeezes Aria, Sharon’s eyes widen in horror when she spots Dead Heather watching them.
