And just like that, Days of Our Lives has wrapped the Body and Soul stalker storyline. It wasn’t Hattie or Kerry or a disgruntled former actor who was targeting the soap and its actors. Instead, it was an angry fan. And while it may have taken Abe a little while to figure out the culprit, Days of Our Lives viewers had already mostly deduced that the only person capable of targeting the soap would be superfan Nurse Whitley. After all, her relationship with reality is tenuous at the best of times.
Abe and Paulina stopped her before it was too late, and Sarah managed to whip up an antidote to the poison that almost killed off the cast, but the damage has already been done. Nurse Whitley has likely already killed Body and Soul.
We don’t mean that literally, but the show’s February preview let us know that Body and Soul will be moving production to Los Angeles by the end of the month. With that move, Body and Soul will exit Days of Our Lives. And if we’re being honest, we don’t see a lot of folks mourning that.
The soap opera has been nothing but trouble for Abe and Kate since they took over production and moved it to Salem. Scandals, affairs, curses, script leaks, firings, near-lethal “accidents”, poisoning — the show has been through the ringer. And now, one of its leading ladies, Bonnie, is out of commission, potentially for months and its publicist just quit to be with the man she loves.
Abe and Kate were just talking about how they can’t afford anything else to go wrong and, well, Nurse Whitley poisoning the entire cast and nearly killing them is about as wrong as it goes! This, we’re fairly certain, will be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back. Heck, how many of the actors will even want to go back to work after this?
Body and Soul is as good as dead, and while it does sound like it will continue on, it won’t be in Salem or on Days of Our Lives. Poor, delusional Whitley has seen to that.
