Kayla Confirms Steve’s Suspicions about ‘Abigail’ and They Both Try to Contact Chad As the Wedding Approaches

Chanel arrives at the Body and Soul offices to talk to Leo about the script, only to find Alex sitting there. He asks about her back, and she says he did a number on her. They kiss, and he throws her onto the desk. Johnny walks in and yells, “You cheating bitch!” He then wakes up from his nightmare on the sofa at home.

Later, Johnny finds Chanel on the phone, and she claims she is sending a text to Felicity about the bakery. She notes he didn’t come to bed last night. He explains he was so busy blocking scenes for today that he passed out on the couch. He asks how her back is. She says it’s stiff but feeling much better. She can’t believe that tying her shoe threw her back out. Johnny flashes back to seeing Alex making love to someone in one of the hospital beds. Johnny asks if she wants to drive to the set together. Chanel explains Kate postponed her scenes until tomorrow as she wants to make sure her back if fully healed. He says he guesses he has more time to prepare for directing her and Alex in bed. She asks if he’s okay with this and if he’s sure he’s not getting jealous again. He insists he’s not. Chanel decides to check in on the bakery, and asks if he wants her to bring him anything. He says to surprise him. She gives him a kiss and runs off.

At the hospital, Steve brings Kayla some coffee. He mentions Mark, and knows she respects him, but he knows that Mark faked the results of the DNA test. He tells her that he had Dr. Greene rerun the DNA test. Kayla reminds him they talked about this, and it is a violation of “Abigail’s” rights. He says he didn’t run tests on “Abigail,” but gave Mark samples from them and claimed they were from “Abigail” and Thomas. According to Dr. Greene, she’s his mommy. Kayla says they shouldn’t jump to conclusions, but he asks what other conclusion there is. He says there is one way to prove Mark faked the test, as Mark mentioned Jack and “Abigail’s” original samples are still in the lab. Kayla says she can rerun the tests herself.

In Horton Square, Mark is on the phone with Clyde. He says he hasn’t left for Paris yet and knows he has to murder Chad. Mark asks what if he gets caught or what if he fails. Clyde’s advice is not to get caught and not to tell his sister about this plan. He tells Clyde that once the widow DiMera transfers the money to him, he will let their mother go, correct? Mark scoffs, “Sure, why wouldn’t I trust you?”

Mark gets off the phone, and Felicity shows up. Mark needs to talk to her about something. She asks if it is about “Abigail.” Mark wonders why she wants to talk about her. Johnny appears, looking for Chanel, and asks if they’ve seen her. Felicity says she hasn’t. Johnny thinks they must have gotten their signals crossed and walks off.

Mark asks Felicity why she brought up “Abigail?” Felicity says she reminds her of Mom. Mark says he can see that in her mannerisms as well. He explains he has to take care of some business regarding Mom and Dad’s estate overseas. Felicity says she misses them. Mark says he does, too, and he won’t be gone long. While he’s gone, she’s in charge of Aaron. He hugs her, says he loves her, and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her or this family.

Stephanie and Alex wake up in bed in each other’s arms. Alex says, “So much for that not happening again.”Stephanie looks for her bra, and he finds it in his bed. She looks for her bracelet and is frustrated. Alex says she seems a little jumpy. Stephanie says this was a mistake, and they should forget this happened, again. She runs out of his room.

Stephanie dresses and finds Alex sipping coffee in the kitchen in his robe. She says she needs to go check in with Body and Soul, and also with Paulina. As she goes to leave, she opens the door and sees Chanel standing there. Chanel smirks at them.

Stephanie quickly rushes off, and Chanel asks Alex since when are he and Stephanie an item. He says it just happened, and they are just friends with the occasional benefit. Chanel says whatever he does in his real life is his business. He asks why she needed to talk about, as he got her text earlier. Chanel says Johnny’s birthday is next week and he wants to throw him a surprise party, and she needs his help. She wanted to have it on the set, and she doesn’t trust anyone at the mansion not to tip Johnny off. She also admits Johnny is still awkward about directing them, so she thought she could show him that the set is a friendly place. As she leaves, she stops at his open door, and tells him to keep this to himself as her husband is clueless. After she walks away and Alex closes the door, and a suspicious Johnny comes around the corner.

Back in Horton Square, Chanel catches up with Felicity, who is now alone. She tells Felicity about the surprise birthday party she’s throwing Johnny and needs her help with the cake. Felicity lets her know Johnny was just here looking for her.

In the Body and Soul office, Johnny arrives, and Stephanie shows him the promotional posters of Alex and Chanel from the photo shoot. Stephanie leaves to make some calls, and Johnny crumbles up the poster.

In Paris, “Abigail” looks at a Chad and the real Abigail’s wedding photo and cries. She can’t believe she’s doing this to Chad and calls the real Abigail a lucky lady. Chad arrives, having gotten “Abby” a bouquet for their wedding day. He says they are her favorite flowers, or used to be. He asks why she’s crying. “Abigail” says she’s just feeling a lot today, and she was looking at their wedding photo and how happy they were. Chad says they’ll be that happy again. “Abby” wants that, but blurts out, “I’m not her.”

Chad asks what she means. “Abigail” covers and says she has a different face, and she doesn’t have the memories that woman in the photo did. She’s a different woman. Chad says he’s changed too, and all that matters to him is that she’s “Abigail.” Also, he says she remembered she loves him, which is the most important memory of all.

Chad asks if she’s having second thoughts? “Abigail” insists she wants to marry him, and that she’s just feeling a lot of emotions. Chad says Holly is on her way back and the officiant is on the way, so in a few hours, she’ll be his wife. Just then Chad sees Steve calling him. Chad decides to ignore Steve and his negativity. “Abigail” asks what he means. Chad explains he called last night and still has concerns about her, but they are getting married and he can’t change that.

They kiss passionately, and then Chad pulls away. He admits he’s watched too many Disney movies with Charlotte. She realizes he hoped the kiss would bring her memories back, but it didn’t. However, it was a nice kiss and gave her full-body tingles. It makes her think she can remember. She wants to kiss him again, but she has to get ready and rushes off to her room.

Back in Salem, Steve leaves Chad a message and begs him to call him back as it’s urgent. Kayla later returns, and she says he’s right. Mark lied, and that woman is not Abigail. Steve is sorry and knows she wanted this to be true. She feels bad for Jack and Chad. Steve says they’ll deal with that later, but this also means Mark lied for some reason. He says Mark and this woman need to be stopped. He will call Jada, but they need to stop Chad from marrying that woman. Kayla says she’ll try to get ahold of him. Steve walks off, and Kayla texts Chad’s phone, saying, “She’s not Abigail.” The message pops up on Chad’s phone in Paris, but he doesn’t see it.

In the square, Mark gets a call from his sister. She tells him how hard this is, she feels awful about what they are doing, and Chad doesn’t deserve this. Mark asks if she’s starting to have real feelings for this guy. She admits she is and feels horrible about what they are doing to him. Mark says she needs to stay focused on the job, and she says she knows. She recalls he mentioned something that Clyde wanted him to do something. Mark says it’s not important.
