DOOL spoilers reveal that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) showed up at the DiMera mansion with a new scientific discovery. It was a regenerative serum, which Kristen hoped would help Sarah.
Kristen expected to get Titan Industries in exchange for the serum. However, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) blocked that trade.

After Philip’s block of the Titan trade, Kristen wouldn’t give Xander and Sarah the second part of the serum. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) learned about it, and called out Kristen.
It led Kristen to go ahead and give Sarah the serum, but with no instructions. So, that left Xander and Sarah unsure how to even administer it, much less how much to give her.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Sarah and Xander took the serum to the hospital. Sarah and Xander asked Kayla for her help. This puts Kayla in a really bad position.
Since Kayla is the chief of staff, and this procedure is taking place at a hospital, there could be some legal issues.
Even if the serum works, that’s not the point. The point is that the law and hospital might not take kindly to people taking matters into their own hands.

The serum isn’t Kayla’s only issue at the hospital. Kayla pushed to let Body & Soul film at the hospital. There is also Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) elevator fall, which some say is no accident.
Along with the poisoned cupcakes, could Kayla be her way out of a job? It seems a lot of things are piling up that indicate Kayla might face a career crisis.
