Young and the Restless

Days of Our Lives Wednesday, November 13 Recap: Jada Steals Rafe’s Job on Paulina’s Orders – Gabi’s Pacemaker Mistake Haunts

EJ insisted both Abigail and Gabi were both willing affair participants, but JJ warned him to keep his sister’s name out of his mouth. Talk turned to Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), so JJ was furious and confused over EJ letting her walk free.

As the conflict escalated, EJ shoved JJ and got punched in return. Although EJ threatened to have JJ arrested, Gabi said she’d testify about EJ getting physical first.

EJ decided Gabi and JJ weren’t worth it before heading home to ice his lip. Meanwhile, Gabi got some ice for JJ’s hand and thanked him for defending her.

Gabi wondered if this meant all was forgiven, but JJ wasn’t quite past the fact that she messed with Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker. That said, JJ was willing to give Gabi a chance to prove she’d changed – especially since he’d always owe her for the time she saved his life on Christmas Eve.

JJ also got the news that Gabi’s marriage to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) was over, so he was sorry about that. As Gabi and JJ wrapped up their conversation, they exchanged sweet smiles and admitted it was good to see each other.

At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) spelled out all the reasons why coming clean to Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) was a terrible idea, so she convinced Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to keep quiet for now.

Joy lied to Chanel about discussing a scene with Johnny before he took off. As Chanel and Joy prepared to run lines, Chanel invited her over for dinner. It took some convincing, but she was thrilled when Joy finally accepted the invitation.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL show, EJ told Johnny that he heard about his birthday party catastrophe. EJ gave Johnny a pep talk since he didn’t think jumping to the wrong conclusion and saying a few unkind words was that egregious.

Johnny confessed he’d indeed done something egregious that Chanel didn’t know about. After Johnny swore EJ to secrecy, he admitted that he cheated on Chanel after assuming she betrayed him first.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) roped Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) into a shirtless photoshoot and helped adjust the strap for his archery quiver. That brought some close moments and made it look like Stephanie was going to kiss Alex until her phone interrupted.

At home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) gave Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) his commissioner badge back and was more than happy to step aside since his doctors had cleared him for work.

After Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) summoned Rafe and Jada to the pub, she gushed over Jada’s engagement ring. Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) got updates too and offered some food on the house to celebrate.

Once Paulina got down to business, she said she wanted Jada to continue serving as Salem’s police commissioner. Rafe was a great cop, but they were understaffed and needed him as a detective again.

Furthermore, crime was down by double digits with Jada in charge – not to mention she’d helped solve high-profile cases and catch noteworthy criminals. Paulina saw no reason to rock the boat when things had been going well in Rafe’s absence.

Jada insisted she couldn’t take Rafe’s job, but Paulina argued that the job went to the person she wanted – and that person was Jada.

Once Paulina stood her ground and left, Rafe assured Jada that he didn’t blame her and handed the commissioner badge back. It was obvious that Jada felt terrible, but the circumstances were beyond her control.
