Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 21, reveals that Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) played loud music as he cooked breakfast in the kitchen, so he apologized for waking Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) up. Jada admitted she was trying to squeeze in a nap after being up all night and talked about juggling multiple cases.

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) showed up and clashed with Jada briefly before she took off.

That led to EJ confirming Arnold hadn’t slept with Jada before he explained his plans for this Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) swap.

EJ announced he’d dig up dirt on Jada and said Arnold was going to expose her as a corrupt cop.

Once Jada was fired and “Rafe” was back as the police commissioner, Arnold could convince Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) that Jada only wanted EJ fired because he was onto her corruption.

EJ felt confident that Paulina would restore him as Salem’s district attorney, but Arnold asked about the wedding since he assumed it’d be off.

However, EJ wanted Arnold waiting at the end of an aisle in a cheap suit and ominously declared this would be an affair to remember!

At the Kiriakis mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) spoke to Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) portrait and mentioned her guilt about keeping secrets from Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

Xander walked in and wondered what Sarah had to feel guilty about, but she covered with a bogus story about not being there for Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).

Once Xander made it into the office, he assured Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) that he was ready to work as real partners.

Philip admitted he might’ve been too hasty in shutting down Xander’s DiMera takeover idea – though they needed to talk strategy and timing.

Xander argued that the time was now since all the key DiMera players were out or distracted.

Philip thought it was cruel to strike when Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was worried about Rachel Black’s (Finley Rose Slater) disappearance, but Xander was fine with it – especially after the way Kristen had treated him during all the serum drama.

Philip ultimately came around to Xander’s way of thinking and decided it was “game on,” so the Kiriakis brothers were ready to go after the DiMeras.

At the hospital on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Sarah spoke with Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) in her office.

That led to Kayla admitting Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) told her why she broke up with Philip, so Sarah asked if Sarah went into specifics.

Once Sarah realized Stephanie had kept things vague, she seemed relieved and pretended she heard the same version of events.

Meanwhile, Jada met up with Stephanie elsewhere in the hospital, so they also talked about the Philip split.

Stephanie just acted like she saw another shady side of Philip in business that she just couldn’t live with.

Once talk turned to Jada’s upcoming wedding, Stephanie wanted to help with anything the bride needed.

Jada pushed Stephanie to be her maid of honor, so Stephanie happily accepted the offer.

After Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) appeared, he got updates on Stephanie’s maid of honor position and learned Philip wouldn’t be accompanying her to the nuptials.

When Alex asked why not, Stephanie confessed her Philip breakup.

Alex also spent some time with hospitalized Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans), who was awfully banged up in a neck brace.

Bonnie had some broken bones and a broken jaw, but Justin was grateful that she had miraculously survived her elevator shaft tumble.

Justin ranted about refusing to let Bonnie set foot on set again and vowed to sue Body & Soul into oblivion for such dangerous workplace negligence.

By the time Justin was through, the show would be “Bonnie and Beautiful” instead!

Alex insisted this was an accident, so Bonnie agreed with him on Tuesday’s Days episode.

Justin wasn’t so sure about that – especially after he talked to Richard in wardrobe and learned Bonnie wasn’t really summoned for an emergency fitting.

An unknown number sent the message instead, so Justin thought someone lured Bonnie into a trap and relayed that disturbing news to Jada.

It left Justin thinking the person behind the poisoned cupcakes might’ve wanted to kill Bonnie with this elevator chaos.

Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, a mysterious character could be seen drawing a red X on Bonnie’s pic, so someone was indeed targeting her.
