Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, March 7, put Marlena and Steve on the hunt for John. In a search that can only end one way.

Marlena (Deidre Hall) received news that John (Drake Hogysten) couldn’t be found, not even by the ISA. She told the kids, Brady (Eric Martsolf), Paul (Sean Christopher), and Belle (Martha Madison), and put on a brave face for them all.

We want to share in Marlena’s optimism. But we can’t. Because we viewers know something Marlena and her family do not: Actor Drake Hogysten has passed away, which is why John is never coming back. Steve (Stephen Nichols) can look in all the old, familiar places, but this story can only end in tragedy.

Feel Up

Brady and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) decided they would do whatever they had to, in order to protect their precious Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) from facing the consequences of her actions. Can you imagine what would happen if children were punished when they did something wrong? What kind of lesson would that teach?

Kristen wants to make sure her mother is down with the program, while Brady appeals to Ava (Tamara Braun), the only person who can throw a spanner into those works by…telling the truth. Good thing no one in Salem ever does that.

Bad Boys

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) knows that Doug (Peyton Meyer) stole Alice’s (Frances Reid) necklace, lied to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) about it, and fenced it with Leo (Greg Rikaart). Tate (Leo Howard) doesn’t know that Doug stole Alice’s necklace, lied to Julie about it, and fenced it with Leo.

Tate thinks Doug is bad. Holly thinks he’s good, which seems backward. But Doug is good looking, which explains why Holly feels the way she does. And why Tate doesn’t.
