Days of Our Lives Is About Unearth Some Answers — Whether We Like Them or Not!
What happened to the real Abigail’s body? That’s what Chad demanded to know from Cat on today’s episode, before deciding he’d ask Clyde himself. You can check out what happened in today’s recap, here.
When Chad had his wife exhumed, her coffin was empty. And it had looked like her gravesite had not been touched in quite some time. So what happened to her body — if there was ever even a body in there at all!
Was she never actually buried? Did Clyde remove it early on with the idea of putting this plan in motion nearly two years after Abigail died? There’s always the chance that she is actually alive and, like Catharina, is being held by Clyde as extra insurance. He couldn’t have sent her back to Chad, of course, because he wouldn’t be able to control her.
But that may just be wishful thinking. Because Clyde may be many things, but he doesn’t exactly have the DiMera resources or someone like Dr. Rolf on his payroll, waiting to bring people back from the brink of death — and beyond.
Cat has no idea, of course, and the one man who does just escaped from maximum security prison — because why not? But while that seems like bad news, the show could finally be setting us up for answers.
Because now Clyde has something to lose again — his freedom. And that means that if he’s cornered, he can be coerced into spilling anything. And we’d bet even money that that’s exactly where this is heading. That may not be good, necessarily, if it turns out that Abigail’s still very much dead and Clyde returns her body.
But at least we’d know once and for all, rather than waiting in this limbo of uncertainty, waiting for Days of Our Lives to answer this one, last question. And with Jack and Jennifer’s next return just around the corner for Doug’s death, it would be nice if they, and we, could finally lay Abigail to rest once and for all.
