Days of Our Lives Friday, November 8 Recap: John’s Urgent ISA Case, Marlena’s Special Gift and One Couple’s Engagement
When Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) showed up looking for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), she barged in and decided to wait for him at the townhouse.
That gave Kristen a chance to taunt Marlena about her husband not being home on her wedding anniversary, but Marlena insisted John would be back tonight.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) showed up at the door and embraced Marlena.
Kristen wondered if Belle was still a couple with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), but Belle didn’t bother answering her.
Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) eventually arrived with updates on John’s urgent ISA business.
John was needed in Washington, D.C. to offer his special expertise, so he wouldn’t be home tonight after all.
However, John wanted Andrew to tell Marlena how sorry he was about the timing and pass along a gift. Marlena opened the box and was delighted over the personalized charm inside.
In the park on Friday’s Days episode, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) surprised Brady and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) as they prepared for a family baseball game.
It turns out Paul made a last-minute schedule adjustment to return to town, but he clearly didn’t know Andrew was in Salem, too.
In the town square, Tate Black (Leo Howard) ran into Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and said he felt awful about this whole situation.
Holly shut down Tate’s attempt to apologize for her pain and didn’t think there was anything left to say.
Once Tate joined the baseball game in the park, Paul told everyone that he was planning to propose to Andrew.
Brady, Johnny and Tate were all thrilled for Paul since they knew Andrew would say yes.
Back at the townhouse, Kristen got tired of waiting for Brady and headed back to the DiMera mansion.
As for Paul, he was taken aback to find Andrew when he made it to the townhouse.
Paul decided the moment was right for his proposal, so he dropped to one knee with the ring and asked Andrew to marry him.
After Andrew accepted and gave Paul a kiss, John shared some sweet phone conversations with his loved ones.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Friday’s DOOL show, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) showed up with doughnuts to help celebrate Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) own wedding anniversary.
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) also helped cheer Maggie up about not having Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) around.
Julie filled Sarah and Maggie in on Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynne McCord) mother being Catharina Meleounis Greene (last played by Ellie Patrikios), so they were stunned to learn Catharina survived.
Plus, there was some talk about Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) having a winter cold, but Julie’s demeanor made it seem like something worse.
When Holly came home looking glum over her Tate encounter, Sarah, Maggie and Julie all gave her pep talks about not giving up on love.
Holly agreed to “never say never” and seemed pleased over their positive predictions about her romantic life.
After Julie made it back to the Horton house with chicken soup for Doug, she gazed at their framed photo.
Julie looked concerned, but she ultimately plastered on a smile to take the food tray up to Doug upstairs.
Once Brady popped in with a gift for Maggie, he mentioned that Kristen said the other serum dose was almost ready.
Sarah didn’t see why it would affect her since Kristen refused to hand it over due to Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) Titan block.
Brady fumed over the news and headed to the DiMera mansion, where he confronted Kristen over her deception.
There was a special message at the end of the episode to celebrate Days’ 59th anniversary, so it was a great show that honored a big milestone.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say there are plenty more highs and lows ahead in Salem, so stay tuned.
