Christopher Cousins Extends His Stay on The Young and the Restless: What’s Next for Dr. Alan Laurent?

The Young and the Restless star Christopher Cousins talked about his role as Dr. Alan Laurent on the CBS soap. It almost sounded like Chris’s journey on the show had run its course, but his clarification stated otherwise. The actor revealed that his time on the show has been extended. Cousins made his debut on April 30 as Ashely’s friend from Paris, so he’ll be sticking around longer than initially planned. Check out what Chris had to say!

The Young and the Restless: The CBS Soap Extends Christopher’s Stay!

The Young and the Restless actor expressed gratitude to the soap for extending his stay. He shared, “I don’t know for how long or what, but I’m doing at least some episodes through May.” So, it looks like not everything is set in stone just yet! Still, Cousins is happy because he earlier thought about doing a mere ten episodes in April. So, continuing his stint is like a cherry on the cake!

Let us tell you, Christopher has been in the daytime world since 1986. The soap veteran has starred on shows like Another World, As The World Turns, and One Life to Live. Additionally, the roles that made him a household name were Cain Rogan from One Life to Live and Dr. Kirk from General Hospital. Now, Cousins is pumped to keep working with the Young and the Restless cast.

Furthermore, the Young and the Restless star’s acting chops have left a mark beyond soap operas. He struck chords with the viewers for his role as  Ted Beneke in Breaking Bad and Victor Doyle in Revolution. On Y&R, working with Eileen Davidson (Ashley) has been a highlight for Cousins. “Eileen [Davidson, Ashley] is someone that I’ve always thought was amazing, so that was a great opportunity.”
