Chrishell Stause’s Soapy Comeback: Days of Our Lives and Y&R Alum’s Brand-New Character

Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives, ex-Bethany Bryant on The Young and the Restless) is officially getting back into soaps with a brand-new character, so that’s something for many fans to get excited about!

Amazon Prime Video made an announcement on May 29 about Stause joining the cast of Australia’s Neighbours as a special guest role.

Stause is tackling a new character that was created just for her, so we have no doubt she’ll bring plenty of talent to the table.

It turns out Stause is playing someone named Yasmine “Yas” Shields, a powerhouse businesswoman who’s achieved great success in her lifetime.

The alluring Yas will show up to pursue a tempting opportunity – though the show’s staying tight-lipped on what exactly that opportunity is.

As for when Stause will first step into Yas’ shoes, she’ll begin filming in Australia this July.

“I am honored and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show! Coming from the world of soaps in the U.S., it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry,” Stause said in a statement about her soapy new gig.

Of course, American soap fans will remember Chrishell Stause from her role as Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives, Bethany Bryant on The Young and the Restless and Amanda Dillon on All My Children.

You may also recognize Stause from Selling Sunset, a reality show that’s proven quite popular on Netflix.

Now that Stause is headed to Neighbours, you can still watch it in the U.S. on Freevee and Freemantle.

If you’ve been keeping up with all the latest Daytime Emmy news, you may have noticed that Neighbours recently scored its first nomination in the Outstanding Drama Series category.

As for Stause, it’s perhaps no surprise that she’s found work in Australia since her partner is an Australian musician named G Flip.

The couple celebrated their marriage in 2022, but now Stause can celebrate her soapy comeback!

Days and Y&R fans may want to tune in and check Chrishell Stause out in her new role, so stick with us for more predictions and any other major casting updates!
