If you look at the spoilers for that day, you’ll probably be like, “What does it even have to do with Hope?” Katie’s haranguing Poppy, and the Brooke’s Bedroom shoot gets underway. It’s that second teaser that we suspect is the key. We have a hunch that, for some reason, Brooke will be unable to take center stage, and will push her daughter to step in for her. Once Hope is all gussied up in Mom’s lingerie, her personality will do what it’s been threatening to for so long and split. Her alter? A passion’s plaything on par with her mother.

The seeds for this twist were planted ages ago, with Hope arguing so fiercely that she wasn’t like Brooke, wouldn’t want to be and dang it, wouldn’t ever be. Perhaps Hope was traumatized by her origin story (Mom’s fling with her aunt’s husband). Maybe she was scarred by the merry-go-round of stepfathers she had growing up (Nick, Whip, Bill) or knowing that Brooke had been with every available man in the Forrester family. Whatever the reason for Hope’s dissociative identity disorder, it can’t possibly be any flimsier than the cause of Young & Restless heroine Ashley’s. (That show still hasn’t bothered to tell us what happened.)

We can picture the scene now. Once Hope takes her place in front of the camera, she loses herself in the feel of the silky clothing, in the sensuality of the music that’s playing. Thomas happens by, so she turns up the heat to ensure that he can’t take his eyes off of her. Finn passes through looking for Steffy, so Hope plays to him as much as she does the camera. The room becomes a veritable inferno, and at the center of it all is Hope’s alter, free at last. What havoc will she wreak? We can’t wait to find out!
