Bold and the Beautiful’s Jennifer Gareis Shares Tragic California Wildfire Update

With a couple of photos of herself at the beach, and then what looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Gareis (Donna) wrote on Instagram, “I had no idea this past weekend was my last beach walk and sunset in Malibu…at least until we can rebuild the community after this devastating fire.”

She continued by expressing her gratitude and reassuring fans: “Thank you for your messages. Our home is gone (see picture #3) but we are safe. I pray for all of the families who have lost their homes and memories. Stay safe! #malibufire #pchfire #malibubeach #palisadesfire.” Co-star Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) responded, “I’m so sorry 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💔💔💔💔.”

Supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk responded with, “Glad you’re safe. Nothing will ever change those amazing memories. 💔.” Several castmates chimed in, including Rebecca Budig (Taylor) who wrote, “I am so sorry Jennifer. Devastating.” And Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) replied, “I’m so sorry Jen. Heartbreaking 💔.”

Stars from other shows also commented, with The Young and The Restless’ Melissia Ordway (Abby) sending crying and heart emojis, her co-star Courtney Hope (Sally) writing, “I’m so sorry 😞 I’m glad you’re safe ❤️,” and Kate Linder (Esther) lovingly reacting: “I am so very, very sorry! Thank goodness that you and your family are safe! My heart and love are with you!” Days of Our Lives’ Tamara Braun (Ava) also replied, “My heart is with you and your family. I’m so sorry sweetheart.”

Gareis also wrote, “These pictures are beautiful, yet devastating. (The 1st from yesterday, the 2nd last weekend) Somehow the trees remain and the grill I bought my husband more than a decade ago still stands. The sun continues to set & the ocean unaffected. I am breathing… slow and deliberate breaths… I am calm. I know I’ll make new memories here in the years to come. In the meantime, I’ll cherish the old ones & hold my family & friends even closer.

“Everyone in LA stay safe & don’t give up hope,” continued the actress. “Believing in a better tomorrow is giving me peace & calm. I pray for a more united city in the future, where neighbors help neighbors. Stay positive & strong LA! 🙏🏻 🙏🏻”
